Now that I know I am, I have decided to embrace it. Let me say that I can NOT believe what we as consumers put up with. Total rubbish! I have yet again fallen victim to poor customer service and an overall approach that basically states that we do not value your business.

Well, I say no more! While I may be a little wacky, my dollars are just as green as the next guy. To predatory companies, you will not get my money any more. I am not cutting off my nose to spite my face. I am cutting off my nose because I hate the stench of shoddy customer service and poor business models.

Therefore, let me reiterate. Large organizations will continue to behave poorly until we stop supporting them. If they only value the almighty dollar, why do we insist on still giving it to them.

On a more joyous note, anyone see a Pennsylvania Labor suit resolution against a certain company that likes to roll back? I wonder if the 62 million dollars will be a reason to treat people like humans.

Deli

The Boycott of Nonsense

Ahh, the all-powerful Boycott!

While visiting with dear friends this week, I was reminded of one of my boycotts. As a consumer, the boycott is our finest weapon against nonsense. I don't mean go stand outside with a sign and walk around yelling rhyming drivel. I mean hit them where it hurts, their cash register.

Now, who are the culprits of this nonsense. While I refuse to name the most boycotted entity by me, I would suggest you go to the Forbes list of top ten richest people and my guess is you will find some family names that sound familiar. That is the hint, you will get no more.

So, a word about me. I despise politics in any form. If people were generally trying to help each other, they would do it with action, not with words. Politics spouting nonsense is rubbish and will be the topic of many future entries I am sure. That being said, I will refrain from politics but I will make a political statement now and then.

Here's one. I like Small business. I love Mom and Pop. They made this country great. They gave us all hope and something to cling to. We all have a chance to be a small business owner and control our life and our dreams. That was until the people on that list decided that small business should go away and maybe they should form a 'club' of Very Big Business.

So, with every statement, here is my my action. I have chosen not to be purely 'price driven' if I have to pay a little more for the exact same product, so be it! I will not be enticed by slick ads and deceptive marketing with bait-and-switch flyers. No, I will buy as I need and I will support the little guy, my friends and family, my neighbour. don't do all your shopping in one place just because the happen to have soda on sale for .89c insead on .99c

Just say no to Nonsense.

So, I challenge you to either follow my lead or find your own path. All I ask is that you think about what I wrote and where the current course of action leads.

Deli

My First Blog

Welcome to my Blog!

So I have decided to join the Blog World. I admit this is a dangerous endeavour as my life seems to be a little less-than-fit for public consumption. I intend to post stories of fact, some of moderated fiction, and some I have just decided would be good if they really were my stories. I have fits of fancy and I like feedback. My hope is that as far as correspondence goes, that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Short post for now, but like I always say, "GEAR UP!"

Deli
